Three Major Credit Reporting Agencies
Three Major Credit Reporting Agencies

Best Credit Reporting Agencies â Efficient, Fast And Accurate
Knowing one's credit is the single most important thing that someone can do in order to get good terms on a loan, receive a mortgage, or even know if he or she will be hired.
What many people do not know, however, is that it is possible to get one's Credit Score for free from the major credit agencies, Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
Aurora Lillo Editor of the "Best Credit Reporting Services" website -- http://www.BestCreditReportServices.com -- pointed out;
Â
"...There are two ways to get one's credit score. The first of these is to request the score directly from one of the major credit reporting agencies. Based on the US Fair Credit Reporting Act, everybody is entitled to request from each agency at least once a month. This definitely fulfills the above criteria of being fast and accurate, as well as safe, given that you don't have to give your information to anybody who doesn't already have it..."
However, that is not very efficient. Perhaps the most efficient way to retrieve a person's Credit Report is to go to the website Annual Credit Report. This website is run cooperatively by the United States government and the three credit reporting agencies listed above.
"...It will get the credit report from each of the three agencies simultaneously, allowing a consumer to find all of their information and also compare the reports, which makes it very easy to find errors in the report. This is the cheapest way and most efficient way to retrieve a person's credit report and ensure that it is accurate..." added A. Lillo.

What about credit reporting agencies that aren't the major ones?
We hear a lot about how to request Credit Reports from the three major agencies (TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian). But what about other agencies? Are there any? How can I know if my report is clear with them? Who are they? How do I know if the company I am dealing with might be using one of them? Are they considered reputable? Do I REALLY need to be worrying about them? Please advise.
There are only the three you listed. If there are others "claiming" to be reporting agencies, I would worry about them.
