Provident load a good idea for improving my credit rating?

Right i just turned 18 on the 1st april so i tried applying with so many catalogues to try and build up my credit rating but they declined so i have been trying to get a pay monthly phone but they have all declined so now i have really messed up My Credit Report with all them people checking my credit report so i was just wondering is it worth getting a small loan of provident and keeping up with the payment with them as that should Improve My Credit rating if i keep up payments right?

Also would they give me a small loan of £50 to £100 loan if i am on jobseekers allowance

You will not get a loan without a steady employment history.
