Do you have to have A Credit card to rent a hotel?

My brother and i are going to Disneyland for spring break , he is 19 and we obviously have to rent a hotel room. However neither of us have credit cards but he has a debit card and cash. Is there anyway we could get a room without a credit card?

you need a credit card to reserve the room, either online or over the phone, so in case you dont show up they dont lose money they can still charge you. you can use a different credit card to reserve it and then when you get there you can pay with debit card or cash. if his debit card has a visa or mastercard symbol on it, it can be used as a credit card. you may have another problem that you havent realized yet, but a lot of hotels done let anyone under 21 book a room, or at least someone staying there has to be over 21. some places someone might have to be 25.. you really need to do some research
