Fixing Student loan on credit history?

I graduated in 2000 with over 25000 in student loans. Went bankrupt in 2003, discharged in 2005. Student loan went to collections thru CBV in calgary. I cannot get any credit other than one secured Credit Card, and very high interest car loan. Finally got my equifax report, student loans are reporting my loan as R-9 each month. Both student loan and cbv will not list my payments of over 350.00 that I am making every month. How can I get them to either not report the bad debt every month or to show my payments. Also, all of my debts that were included in the bankruptcy keep showing reporting every month also. What can I do? The bank said that I could get a normal credit card maybe even a mortgage if I could get rid of the student loan reporting this bad debt every month. I know if I appeal on the other loans from the bankruptcy they will stop reporting, but does anyone know how to stop student loans. When I call they refer me to CBV.

Student loans are not forgiven with a bankruptcy, but you say you are paying each month? If this is the case, call CBV (the owner of your account now) and ask them very simply why they are not reporting your payments to the credit agencies. You'll have to decide where to take the conversation from there. I know that they are allowed to report the missing payment info for 10 years, as I too had a defaulted student loan that I paid off. The info says it's been paid but I am still showing negative history and will for a while.

Also, if you are not sure about their reasoning, ask them to explain in again, take notes, and document who you spoke with and when.
