How to Improve Credit score due to identity theft?
Last year my boyfriend's credit score was in the high 700's, now this year after having some one steal his Credit Cards and money his Credit Score Is 571 because they racked up his bills. He filed a police report, but nothing ever came out of it because the guy apparently fled and can't be found.
We're looking to buy a house in the next couple of months, but we were told your credit has to be above 600 to get approved. He was pre-approved for a good amount of money before all of this happened. Does anyone know anything that can be done to higher his credit score the 29 points or to make him eligible for a mortgage?
