A settlement of debt is a process in which a company such as a Credit Card business, along with an account holder with said business, get together and discuss a settlement of a lowered total debt payoff.

The company settles so they can at least receive a portion of the debt owed.

How do i clean up my Credit Report. I have paid balances on it and non paid. No one has sent me any bills Im not sure what i owe out.

Contact a Credit Reporting agency. You usually get one Free Credit Report each year, I think. You should pay off any past due outstanding balances, and close any accounts that you don't use. Pay your bills on time, that is the biggest piece of advice.
